Abrigo em Chamas

Após um naufrágio, o único sobrevivente agradeceu a Deus por estar vivo e ter conseguido agarrar-se a parte dos destroços para poder ficar flutuando.

Este único sobrevivente foi parar em uma pequena ilha desabitada, longe de qualquer rota de navegação, e ele agradeceu novamente.

Com muita dificuldade e restos dos destroços, ele conseguiu montar um pequeno abrigo para que pudesse proteger-se do sol, da chuva, de animais e, também, para guardar seus poucos pertences, e como sempre agradeceu.

Nos dias seguintes, a cada alimento que conseguia caçar ou colher, ele agradecia. No entanto, um dia, quando voltava da busca por alimentos, ele encontrou o seu abrigo em chamas, envolto em altas nuvens de fumaça.

Terrivelmente desesperado, ele se revoltou. Gritava chorando: "O pior aconteceu! Perdi tudo! Deus, por que fizeste isso comigo?" Chorou tanto, que adormeceu profundamente cansado. No dia seguinte, bem cedo, foi despertado pelo som de um navio que se aproximava.

-"Viemos resgatá-lo", disseram os tripulantes da embarcação.
-"Como souberam que eu estava aqui?", perguntou ele.
- "Nós vimos o seu sinal de fumaça"!

É comum nos sentirmos desencorajados e até mesmo desesperados quando as coisas vão mal. Mas Deus age em nosso benefício, mesmo nos momentos de dor e sofrimento.

Lembrem-se: se algum dia o seu único abrigo estiver em chamas, esse pode ser o sinal de fumaça que fará chegar até você a Graça Divina. Para cada pensamento negativo nosso, Deus tem uma resposta positiva.

Shelter on fire

After a shipwreck, the sole survivor thanked God for being alive and being able to hold on to part of the wreckage in order to stay afloat.

This sole survivor was stopped on a small uninhabited island, far from any shipping lane, and he thanked again.

With great difficulty and debris from the wreckage, he managed to assemble a small shelter so he could protect themselves from the Sun, rain, and, also, to save their few belongings, and as always thank you.

In the days that followed, every food you could hunt or harvest, he thanked. However, one day, on his way home from the search for food, he found his shelter on fire, wrapped in high clouds of smoke.

Terribly desperate, he rebelled. Screaming crying: "the worst has happened. I lost everything! God, why did you do this to me? " Cried so much, I fell asleep deeply tired. The next day, bright and early, was awakened by the sound of an approaching vessel.

-"We have come to rescue him," said the crew of the vessel.
-"How did you know I was here?" he asked.
-"We saw your smoke signal".

It is common to feel discouraged and even desperate when things go bad. But God acts in our benefit, even in moments of pain and suffering.

Remember: If your only shelter is on fire, this may be a smoke signal that will reach you divine grace. For each negative thought ours, God has a positive answer.
