Um dia desses, entrei numa lanchonete perto da esquina, pedi um café, e vi que o guarda estava olhando o carro estacionado com um pouco da sua frente em cima da faixa de pedestre. Tirou o bloco de multas e ia escrever quando eu saí e falei com ele:
- Bom dia seu guarda!...
Ele não respondeu, e eu argumentei que a roda do carro estava fora da faixa.
Ele não me olhou, mas prestou mais atenção ao carro e observou os pneus, e nesse momento foi que também vi que eles não estavam bem em condições de uso.
Então eu disse:
- Desculpe seu guarda, mas hoje mesmo foi que percebi que esses pneus estão no momento de serem trocados...
Só então ele me olhou já abaixando o bloco de notas. Percebi que
fraquejava na sua resolução de lavrar a multa. Nesse momento, uma
velhinha estava parada perto da faixa, e percebemos (eu e ele) que ela
estava com dificuldade de atravessar. Então me antecipei a ele, e ajudei a senhora. Quando voltei, o homem tinha guardado o bloco de notas. Então eu sorri pra ele e disse.
- Você é ?gente boa?, seu guarda!...
- Você merece!.. ? ele respondeu saindo.
Fiquei encostado ao carro esperando que o guarda se afastasse, pra não
descobrir que eu não era o dono dele. Quando o homem ia desaparecendo na esquina uma senhora ainda muito jovem vinha chegando com uma sacola numa das mãos e uma criancinha de colo na outra.
- Dá licença, moço ? ela disse querendo entrar no carro.
Eu me afastei, e ela abriu a porta do lado da calçada, e colocou a sacola no banco. Então eu resolvi falar:
- Olha moça, estacione um pouco mais distante da esquina, senão pode
levar uma multa qualquer hora dessas...
- Ah sim, obrigada... É que meu filho está doente, e tinha hora marcada
com o médico, e não pude encontrar outro lugar melhor...
Eu sorri pra ela, e balancei a cabeça aprovando.
Entrou no carro e saiu. Então voltei pra lanchonete pra tomar meu café.
Já estava frio, e tive que pedir outro. Paguei satisfeito os dois, porque tinha a minha alma leve... O importante da vida é ter a alma leve...
